Random stuffs...
A week ago, I drove to Indianapolis to bring Adrian for a post-surgery check up in Methodist Hospital. He had the surgery during the Spring Break week and I kinda miss the car that I drove during the Spring Break because the 4WD was indeed cool! I LIKE! :P

It's a 4WD Mercury. Adrian rented it for 200USD for two days.
Well, I'm glad that the surgery went smoothly and now, his left knee is getting better.
Alright...that's not the main point...
After I brought him to the medical check up in Shelbourne Clinic, I got hungry and decided to get some Chinese foods nearby. We eventually found one Chinese restaurant nearby, China Hong Kong Buffet. Thanks to the GPS. As I drove along, we saw White Castle!!! LMAO...

This is another version of "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle"..."Adrian and Bat go to White Castle"
For some who don't get it, "Harold and Kumar go to White Castle" is actually a movie.
When we entered, we saw a lot of African Americans eating and even the workers were African Americans. That's why it was kinda awkward when we entered. The burgers were delicious although they were kinda small in size. I like it.
We then went to Macy's in Indianapolis. Walked for a while before went back to Purdue.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A few weeks ago, the officers from Ministry of Education Malaysia and chancellors from UM, UKM, UPM, USM, and UiTM came to my university to have a dinner with the Malaysian students here in Purdue. Actually, they came to USA for some educational tour or something (if I'm not mistaken). They also came to see our newly build Discovery Park in my university.
We had a dinner with them at Rawls Hall around 8pm. They also gave a presentation about some education thingie.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Microeconomics exam just over yesterday and I was kinda glad that I kinda did well in it. Winter has over and Spring is here...There are no more...

No more SNOW
Spring semester is going to end soon...Counting my days back to MALAYSIA...Kolo mee, Kampua mee, Bak kut teh... here I come :D

It was Friday night and I was so freaking bored that I went to play PS3-Winning Eleven before I off to do my essay in the computer lab. Since I had nothing to do, I suddenly thought of something funny to do...so, I went to disturb my friend in msn messenger...

New York!!!
Hey guys, I'm sorry for not updating my blog lately. Exam is over and it was fucked up. Spring break started like 4 days ago. This one week break is gonna end soon, which is sucks big time.
Few days ago, I sent my friend, Adrian to Indy for a knee surgery. Looking at his expression during the rehab (exercise) after the one hour surgery made me feel weak. One of my friends who followed us to the hospital almost fainted seeing him doing the rehab. I could see that he's indeed a tough guy. Without his parents, who are thousand miles away from here, by his side, he could still undergo this surgery like a MAN. I pray that he will get well soon.
Anyway, I wana blog about my last destination on my last winter break. I'm sure some of you guys knew that I went to New York for 10 days. Vincent, Jaysern and I stayed in New York University(NYU) for 10 nights and we really wana thank Ian so much that he managed to provide us with lodging.
1st day - Christmas Eve
We arrived La Guardia Airport from Miami and went to Manhattan by subway. We met Ian and the Astoria subway station and he was so happy to see us after few months we didnt meet. I'm sure he was.:) Brought our stuff to NYU dorm at Washington Square. Went to eat in a Chinese Restaurant near his dorm and headed to Church right after that since that day was Christmas Eve. Vincent and Jaysern joined us for the Christmas mass.
2nd day - Christmas Day
Went to Chinatown in Canal Street. Enjoyed eating Malaysian foods like Nasi Lemak and Bu Bu Cha cha. Wandered around the Chinatown and bought some I*heart*NY shirts.
3rd day - Boxing Day
Bought levi's jeans and a long coat in SOHO because those were on DISCOUNT. Felt satisfied although I spent almost 400USD for those clothes. Wah...really spent money like girls and it was only the third day...beh ta han. Forget about it, make me feel guilty only.
4th day
Knowing that I spent alot already, I decided to spend less starting that day. Decided to go to Statue of Liberty that morning but ended up not going as it was so foggy. So we went to Wall Street and Ground Zero where the September 11th incident happened. Went to a shopping place beside Ground Zero and saw one beautiful scarf. Bought it to keep myself warm since it was so damn cold. Went to Chinatown again that evening to enjoy Malaysian Food there.
5th day
Went to Times Square. That place was indeed awesome esp for girls. There were thousand of people there that day. Following my friends to shop but I didn't buy anything that day LUCKILY. Spent money of some Japanese sushiS. I just knew that MingKai was in NY that day
6th day
Went to Statue of Liberty. Took us more than an hour to buy tickets and queueing up for the ferry. Reached Liberty Island one hour later and was so happy to meet some of our INTEC friends there. Wah...what a small world. Took photos with them and the most important thing was to take photos of Statue of Liberty. Spent lotsa time taking photos because we wanted to get nice photos. Went to Chinatown for dinner AGAIN! but not Malaysian food...Chinese food.
7th day
Woke up at noon and went to Times Square for 2008 Countdown. Millions of people were there, waiting for the countdown. People kept on pushing each other to get the best view of the Special Crystal Ball. Four of us just stood at some random spot. Stood there for 9 hours ( 3pm-12am ). Luckily, we saw Jordin Sparks and Blake performing on stage. For those who don't know them, they are the American Idols. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2008!!!
8th day
Went to Macy's and Empire State Buiding. Went all the way up to the 100th floor of the Empire State Building and took some photos. It was so freaking cold but the views of the NYC were so beautiful that night with all the lights.
9th day
Went to Central Park, the freaking big park in Manhattan (According to Ian,the park is 1/7 of Manhattan). Couldn't stand the coldness that morning so,off to Chinatown AGAIN to buy some souvenirs - shirts, keychain and some foods. Went back early that night to pack.
10th day
Went to airport around 10am and flew back to Chicago at 11.55am. WINTER BREAK OVER!!!
p/s We went to the Madame Tussaud, Wax musuem but I forgot which day we went. Hehe...
Below are some of the photos that I took in NY:

CNY celebration
Before I post my New York journey, I blog about the CNY celebration over here first. CNY here was not that bad. Although I had classes going on during the first day of CNY, I should be grateful because some of my friends had exams that night.
It was two hours plus long dinner. They had some games and lucky draws. The presents were like scanner, heater, printer, radio and some gift cards and ANGPOWS given by a taiwanese professor in my university.

Yeah...we indeed had a lot of funs!!! but of course, celebrating with family is way better than celebrating over here. haih...I miss getting angpows and visiting relatives and friends. This is the first CNY withOUT angpowss....:( I think I have to bear this for another 3 years.
First day of CNY in Malaysia was on Thursday but we had the first day of CNY on Friday. So, that night, a bunch of my friends and I went to Ford Dining Hall to eat some chinese foods. That night was indeed awesome. We had different kinds of chinese foods like dumplings, sausage n shrimp fried rice, pau(walau eh...PAU u know? long time didnt eat ady) and dim sum SUMMORE. :) I really had a scrumptious dinner that night and it was the best ever dinner since the first day I came here.
Alright, that isn't the main topic I'm telling you guys.
I went to a CNY celebration dinner hosted by Taiwanese Student Association (TSA) with my friends. It started at 6.30pm and we also had some delicious chinese foods. We had Pork, Beef, sweet and sour chicken (orange chicken) and some 'unknown' vegetables. Like Yikshien, my friends and I also sat in table lucky no8. :).
